What woods do you use? See full spec but generally solid tulip wood for framework doors etc and MDF for large flat areas. Obviously, for all wood bookcase, say, Oak it will be solid Oak and veneered panels.   What is the difference between fitted and unfitted? Fitted bookcases are made in a slightly different way- they are “scribed” around skirtings and dados, close fitted to walls so you cant see the join ( there is a 25mm void behind units for ventilation). Unfitted are essentially freestanding but can have cutouts for skirting and cleated to walls if required.   How does the bookcase arrive and do you use your own fitters? Yes, your bookcase will come straight from the workshop to your home, finished and wrapped in blankets with the minimum of fuss; normally fitting will only take a day, sometimes two.   Do you cover the whole country? Yes, from the Hebrides to the Channel Islands!   Do you charge for surveys and estimates?
